I gave him one tiny wax worm again tonight to see it would bring his appetite back and he gobbled it straight up but still ignored all the fresh crickets. (the crickets are all small enough to eat - same size as always, gut-loaded and dusted etc...) :/ is there anything you can like spray on the crickets or anything to make him want them more?.

waxxies are extremely fatty and rich which is what would have given him diarrhea ~ they are also addictive to leos and can, if fed overmuch, be responsible towards obesity, Fatty Liver Disease and Xanthomatosis. If any are given they should only be as an occasional treat if at all.
The main way of getting a leo off of waxxie addiction is basically refuse to feed them to it at all and instead offer locusts, crickets etc instead.
