Default URGENT help please: Dark patches on skin - 17-11-2009, 06:12 PM

Hi there, I've noticed some dark patches growing on my crestie's skin, I've googled it but I cannot find any reasoning behind it. PLEASE help put my mind at rest and help clear up what it could be. I came back from work today and found one of the plants attached to the wall of his viv had fallen down, so maybe he fell down and its just a bruise? Or it could be something serious? Any help that can be given is appreciated.

The temp is always between 70 + 76 degrees F.
The Humidity is always between 75 and 90%.

mmmm is there any change in colour or shape of the patches?

has there been any changes in vivarium environment?

i think it may just be down to a fall its just strange to have more then 1 bruise let alone 2-3. also is the gecko walking, climbing and jumping like usual? check to make sure all arms and legs are being used without limping or such,
Chris.

He walks and jumps totally fine, and when he is fired up, the patch blends in perfectly, I think it was just a part of his skin that stayed fired up, whether it due to the way he was resting in the light or whatever.

mmm yeah it does sound strange but that could be it.

I would keep and eye on the patches and take photo's each day for at least a week to see if there's any subtle changes. if the patches say get smaller then larger again or just get larger i would probably take to a reptile vet/spec'
