I use vinyl floor tiles in my viv, cheap easy to clean and it really lower the risk of your leo becoming impacted from digesting the substrate.

depends on the age of ur leo, if its 1-4 months i suggest kitchen towel or just tissue, but past around 4-5 months old repti carpet, never-ever use loose substrate, because they WILL eat it and WILL eventually get impaction and then DIE, not something you want to happen im sure, there natural substrate is clay and rocks etc, basically hardly ever anything loose, although they are desert/hot environment reptiles they do not live on sand, repti carpet is the best.
