I also wouldn't call poker a sport for the same reason I would call monopoly a sport.

In high-school I was on the wrestling and (American) Football teams. I also like to watch Soccer.

I like to play basketball and football. They are very fun.

Snowboarding though is my favorite sport of all!

So what do you all do for excercise?
I personally love pole dancing! I go to the gym every week to practise and to learn new moves!
When i first started the thought of hanging upside down on a pole by one ankle scared the hell out of me! Now i love it!
And no i dont take my clothes off!!
I do have a pole at home that i practise on though! Its great fun and its a real workout!
Makes you ache for a few days after a good practise!

My Girlfriend was interesting in pole dancing (for fitness not money ), how do the poles at home work? I was concerned it wouldn't be sturdy enough and she'd hurt herself.

As long as you buy something reputable - Like an X pole she'll be fine!
Don't buy anything from high street stores like the Peekaboo poles - u might aswell be dancing on a shower curtain rail!!

I have an x pole at home and that is the same as the poles that we use in class!
They aren't cheap £149.99 each! But they are brilliant! And if you've got time to play on it you can progress quickly!
I do no other excercise apart from the pole dance and i feel fitter than ever! Its a great workout!

The ones i'd seen did look a little flimsy.

You need to bolt them into the ceiling and floor I assume?

The x pole is fully removable and portable!
All you need to be able to put it up is to locate the joists under your ceiling!
The pole is easy to put up and take down and doesn't leave any damage or permanant markings!

I love my pole! I wish i could have higher ceilings though!!
