Some Aussies..... -
03-06-2010, 11:04 PM
OK, well I'm bored so I've decided that it's time to brave the cobwebs and venture into one of the more rarely visited areas on the forum to introduce some of my Aussie geckos.....first up, the three S. williamsi....(of all the species I keep, this is just about my favourite; teeny geckos with absolutely huge personalities....they definitely deserve to be more popular!)
Firstly, a shot showing why the common name for the species is eastern spiny-tailed gecko......

......then a detail showing their stunning gold and silver mottled eye.....

......finally a rather fuzzy shot I'm afraid, but it does (sort of) show their distinctive purple tongue and electric blue mouth combo......

Secondly, the D. tessellatus.......female.....

......and male, just starting to shed.....

Again, a very underrated species whose character definitely make up for their small size.....
