I bought one a while back, only briefly tried it seems to work pretty well, although its claimed that reptiles cant see red or blue light which is why they work good for nighttime viewings ive always had this theory that even though they cant see it they must still be able to detect something coming from it, and I have observed plenty of reptiles looking at them with curiosity. I recently read an article on a new study done by arcadia who specialize in reptile and amphibian lighting showing that red and blue lighting is very uncomfortable to reptiles due to the lack of visible light to them, the wavelengths coming out of the lights can cause them stress.
Also remember that reptiles need complete darkness for the majority of the night for healthy regulation and so its best to not use night lights for more than an hour or two. After reading the article ive started to change night time lighting in my vivariums.
