Hi, I have just purchased a very little Leopard Gecko. It came in a starter kit (30cm/20cm/not sure how tall) plastic exo terra first home.

Worried about my choice cos I am a born worrier!!

Is there anything specific your worried about?
What else did you get with the starter kit heating wise and substrate etc?

Hi, thanks for replying.

Mainly I have realised it was a bit thin, tho apparently (after LOTS of toing and froing), it is his age, and he just hasn't built up a large fat supply yet.

Also I can't tell he has pooed because the substrate is orchid bark (what he came with), and want to change to toilet roll, but as the heat mat is just placed underneath (not stuck) am worried it will get too hot (no thermostat, it's an Exo terra Desert small). Am guessing cardboard would reduce the heat a bit?

Sorry for the long post!
