Question New member (crested) - 29-06-2009, 12:28 PM

Hi, glad to have found this great forum,

i'm new to geckos and have a 1 month old crested, who is about to eat crickets for the first time (i hope). Does anyone have strong opinions on the use of UV lights or know of a good reptile vet in the west midlands or london? (just in case, fingers crossed i won't need one!)

UV light is not essential for these guys as they are nocturnal. Also, vets can be quite hard to find somebody else might be able to point you in the right direction.

Many thanx,

also, one other question... what detergent should i use to clean the terrarium, that's strong enough to work but obviously not gonna harm a young crestie?
