hi im new to keeping leopard gecko's and i have been told to use a gravel substrate
but it seems the gecko's don't like it and spend most of their time in their cave and when they do come out stand on top of it. now the thing is i have heard about using paper towel but i want it too look nice and natural any ideas on what substrate i could use.
I am using some vinyl floor tile! Comes in different colours, easy to clean and good to look at!

is that ok/good to use (vinyl floor tile) was thinking could get and off cut and line my viv out. im quite new to this and bought gecko and viv of some guys who did not want him anymore and he been using so kinda wood chip on the viv floor which reads as bad on most places.
was in a local pet shop and one of the guys said that he used to use sand sheets that went into the bottom of bird cages.
i though could be good idea but might be to sharp what do you think?
I would think the sand sheets would be too rough on the geckos feet to be honest. Trust me, vinyl is fantastic!

I use reptile carpet, it looks natural as its sand coloured and leo's dont seem to have a prob with it.
i have 2 sets and just wash the alternate one which drys in no time
