Hell all,
im looking to get a crested gecko for christmas (or before if i can make the money!!!) and i have a beardie in my room also ;-) (3rd birthday soon!!!!!!!!!!!!) but im woundering, cresties seem to jump alot and im worried it will jump of my and get lost, any tips!!!, also i read you can put real plants in the viv but which ones ??? also im wondering if there temperment changes as they get older, or if theres a difference beetween morphs (as im looking to get a flame) thankyou for ur help xxx

i'm v new myself, but thought i would have a go.

Lashes - my gecko is quite jumpy, although if u constantly move yr hands so he/she can walk across them it seems to keep them quite busy. if u are worried u could always sit on the floor, until u are used to the moments.

i have fake plants, i know they arn't as amazing as real ones but they do a v nice job when u look u can order quite a few diff fake plants, by the time u have twisted then round the vines i think they look gd. + they are very easy to clean

as far as i am aware the morphs are purely on which groups that have been bred in for partnering, mine is a green pin stripe all morphs are brighter at night when they flare up.

THankyuo, Aww lashes is a cute name, yh il get fake plants butt there pretty expinsive for FAKE plants LOL

real plants get expensive when they die or your beasties break them

other reasons fakes are good are you can rearrange threm n they wont die, you can take em out n clean them, they dont need uv, water or food and wont potentially poison ur little friends

i use fakes in my aquariums - silk are best and by time some algae has grown on em, they look brilliant (and dont clog the filters )
