Default My geckos's just been sick! - 11-08-2010, 05:33 PM

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I've just been visiting my Sister, come home and Lottie has been sick. There was a lot of moss in it from her mosit hide. She has just shed recently but this was done in her main hide so she couldn't have taken it in then. This has never happened before, so I was wondering what could have possibly made her eat the Moss and more importantly are there any safer alternatives for use in moist hides?

Would be very greatful if someone got back ASAP as I am at a total loss.

Thanks again...

eating moss or substrate could be a pointer to parasites/worms etc.
Has she been feacal checked recently? If not would recommend getting her checked by a vet and feacal checked too.

Okay, it turns out that the regurgitation wasn't a regurgitation at all but faeces from her skin shed (And so I don't even think it was moss. She should be alright now but I'll be continuing to moniter just in case.
