hi i am looking to buy another heat matt as my current one is on its way out!
i am confused with all this wattage buisness like 7W 25W
the iv is 2ft by 1ft by 1ft so what do you suggest
Also my leo is refusing to eat his crickets and only meal worms if he fancies it
whats going on his become fussy
It's the total floor area of the viv that the mat covers that's important, rather than the wattage (which simply increases the larger the total area of the heat mat). For leos, the heat mat needs to cover between one third and one half of the viv; for a viv the size of the one you have, a 28cm x 28cm (11" x 11") mat like this one is ideal.
With regards to food, some of my geckos are pickier than others and will refuse certain types of feeder (and sometimes their preferences change over time too). As long as your littlun's eating one of the staple feeders (mealies, crix, locusts or roaches) and the feeders have been properly gut-loaded in advance, then there shouldn't be a problem.
