Moist Hide - Hot or Cool side. -

Which side of the viv. is best for the moist hide? Most books and sites bias towards the cool side - which is what I have - and he likes it - but two 'sources' have said the warmer side is better, giving it would create a more himid atmosphere, which it obviously would.
I thought the idea was to create a cooler comfortable alternative hide, which also helps with shedding.
depending on the size of the viv/tank/rub I place the moist-hides either at the cool end or the middle ~ small rubs cool end; large vivs = middle

yes this is a topic thats is do this do that no do this no do that kind of question.
I myself have the moist hide the cool end and it works superbly. I have one of those rocks where you attach it to the glass and have the other half on the outside so you can watch them when inside on a middle section.
Then a large rock hide on the heated side.
My gecko's both love this set up.
So I think its whatever you feel is right. As long as their is a moist hide I really think it doesnt matter.

You need to put the humid hide on the warm side. If you read some care sheets you will find about it in the care sheets. So put the humide hide on the warm side.
hi, my i have half of my moist hide over the UTH and the other side off of the UTH, she seems quite happy with this set up and only really uses it whern she is about to shed. I think its tria and error move it aroung and see where your gecko most prefers it, i hope this helps
Im having the same problem with substrate!!!

Jacdore you say you have and exo-terra magnet rock, what size is it (large, medium, small)??? I have the small and to me seems too small but the leo loves it. Should i buy a larger one?
i have the same heat rock but mines medium one in a exo terra tanks that 45x45x45 and its heating that up enough but i am going to invest in a heat mat soon
