Default Looking for Female Leos - 25-03-2011, 05:00 PM

i am new to keeping leos and need some help. I have researched and researched on these guys and am now ready to start keeping them my viv is all set up and its 1.2m x 0.5m and i am hoping to start out with 2 or 3 females with a view to introduce a male later. i will be introducing him temporarilly for breeding and housing him elsewhere when not breeding (anyway this is not what this thread is about) i am finding it hard to find females all my local pet shops are selling juvenilles which are too young to sex or are out of stock or if they have stock seem to be males. I know that this is really a little early to be leo shopping but what should i do. Will as the season progresses and the juvenilles get older i be able to buy females or will it always be pot luck. i am a responsible fish keeper normally and dont buy on impulse so any advice would be great
