although fatties will lick their lips so to speak after eating or to clean them I'd be concerned if she was doing it constantly ~ what is her set-up like ie: substrate, temps etc

My aft's lick their lips regularly and I can only think its them tasting things as they do it more when I handle them. As above with the dusting and also leave a dish in their vivs with dust in

okay ~ the hot end floor temp should be ideally between 88*f-90*f (31*c-32*c) .. where and how are you measuring the floor temps at the hot end of the viv?

They should also have at least one moist-hide ~ I use two in each viv part-filled with damp eco-earth...

Although some will take a few days to settle most of mine have eaten on day one and although some of my fatties will eat mealworms none will eat waxxies (I personally don't rate or use waxxies anyway as they're too fatty) but all of my fatties will eat well gutloaded crickets and locusts.

i use a digital thermometer as the microclimate sensor is poor, i have a large moist box with spag moss in it and 2 hides, fake plants and 2 nice peices of wood the viv is 36x18x18.
is it calcium with d3 or w/o d3 i put in the viv

i checked on them this morning and the smaller one is dead it was a bit hard so must of died through the night

the bigger one still hasnt eaten so ive been and bought some turkey baby food and it was licking it off a cotton bud just now.

ive contacted the guy that i bought them off but he hasnt got back to me as yet, he is selling a lot of geckos at the moment, i want to tell everybody not to buy from him but i dont want to get into trouble.

the geckos were a present for my sons 16th birthday and he has exams today

i`m gutted and angry

sorry to hear that ~ with the other one I really would consider taking it to the vets for a check and if possible take a poop sample with you for a feacal check against parasites and worms.... if anything in particular caused the death of the smaller one then the other is at high risk too. Too die this quickly does I'm afraid point to at least the smaller one possibly being poorly before you bought it.... how much do they weigh and how old were they supposed to be?
If you wish to feed the other anything then please try mashed up livefood and not baby food ~ not only are babyfoods made for humans and not geckos some baby foods have ingrediants that can affect the geckos adversely ~ you could ask the vet about Carnivore Care.

wish you good luck and if wished pm me who the 'breeder' is
I'd recommend trying to contact the 'breeder' again.
