Default Introducing a Female Leo to a Male?.. - 31-08-2010, 06:56 PM

I have a male Leo, had him for about 2 months he's about 4 inches long.

How old/big do they have to be to intorduce a female and does the female have to be the same age/size aswell?

females have to be at least 12-18 months old and over 55g before attempting mating (which is what will happen if you put a male in with her) and I prefer males to be the same size and age.
A lot of breeders only put the male in with the female for a short time for mating and then remove him back to his own viv/rub ~ keeping a male in with a female all the time can cause un-necessary stress to her with the male wanting to mate all the time.
