Question imperial scorpion advice needed please - 07-10-2008, 04:42 AM

1 of my imperial scorpins practically always sits in the water dish, is this normal the temp and humidity of the viv is all ok.
wont his shell get soft or anything like that i'm a little concerned coz i've only had them a week and i've only raised tarantulas before, ive got a book but it says nothing in there about it.

I am interesting in getting a scorpion next year probably. What are they like to keep? My local pet shop do Emporer Scorpions. They look scary as anything? I mean, can you handle them? :/

I reckon if i got one, then it would just be to look at. Don't know if i could bring myself to pick one up!

They are mainly for looking at. You can handle them but it is very stressful for the animal. Also, emperor's are the best for beginers. You want to avoid desert species lol.

Cool stuff. They are a fascinating creature. I'll have to do some googling and have a read!

Thanks
