1 of my imperial scorpins practically always sits in the water dish, is this normal the temp and humidity of the viv is all ok.
wont his shell get soft or anything like that i'm a little concerned coz i've only had them a week and i've only raised tarantulas before, ive got a book but it says nothing in there about it.
I am interesting in getting a scorpion next year probably. What are they like to keep? My local pet shop do Emporer Scorpions. They look scary as anything? I mean, can you handle them? :/
I reckon if i got one, then it would just be to look at. Don't know if i could bring myself to pick one up!
They are mainly for looking at. You can handle them but it is very stressful for the animal. Also, emperor's are the best for beginers. You want to avoid desert species lol.
they are great lol amazing to watch eat! all i can say is face hugger lmao
you can handle them but i dont mine he's a grumpy sod lol if u do wanna its best to let it walk onto your hand i would pick up and place by the sting like most people do it seems to freak mine out alot.
ALSO lol sorry about the water bowl bathing. check for mites!!! look really closly at a section of he/her shell give a gentle blow of air and if u see any white little dots scurrying across the shell....get sum mite spray.
thanks for all the info, i've checked it all out the humidity and temp are all fine and he/she doesn't have any mites, she mainly stays in her burrow now, just think she/he needed time to settle in lol
