Hi. The pastry is ok if eaten as a one-off. Simply watch she doesnt get too much of an upset tummy. There is a great site I belong to for my Rottweiler called RottweilerShackUk. Many many owners of rotties on there also have staffys. So might be worth joining up to ask them as were all a very friendly helpful pack on there. Was it just the pastry or did doggy have the foil case etc. As mentioned just watch everything food wise still goes in and still comes out ok. Especially after the event incase of blockages. But I'd say dont worry but try your upmost not to let it happen again. When my Rotty was a pup he ate a fresh baked set of fairy cakes I had cooling down on the side. He also weeks later ate a fresh loaf of home-made bread also cooling on side. I went as far as leaving me a great big notice stuck to my worktops for me to read and re-read and re-read simply saying "Don't leave anything on the side". I'm so glad I did that as it finally got me out of the habit of leaving stuff around. You may even need to leave notes on tables, side tables etc. Hope I've helped. Enjoy pup!!!!

Just make sure you show him theres nothing to worry about. Try not to make a big fuss of it all and things should be fine. Thats the thing with dogs they basically do what you do.

Yes thats very true that "Dogs basically do what you do". Our Zeus (Rotty) came from a violent home so trying to praise him for good behaviour was quite hard as he'd cower everytime you raised your hand. In time he soon learnt everything wasnt bad as when he was bad we'd simply say he was naughty and completely ignore him. So good behaviour was very fun and bad was so dull and ignored. Now he is 2yrs old and an official PAT dog. Many ask how he got to be so good and friendly and gentle. Our answer purely is "Reward good - Ignore bad". So yes tell him he is bad when not to your liking and praise loads when he's done to your liking. It really works and as tryme said "they soon do what you do".

Yeah I believe ignoring the bad or unwanted behaviour works better (obviously depending on what it is) but most of the "little" problems become a lot worse when you react to them.
