they really should be kept on their own ~ not only is the female not old enough imo for breeding (females should be a minimum of 12-18 months old and over 55g) the male also needs to be the same age and weight plus they will breed if you keep them together which also brings up many problems and expences.
Most breeders only put the males in with females for a short time for breeding and then the males are seperated again
