Have you ever seen the shed of a tarantula???
Its the most amazing, slightly smaller replica of themselves - you can easily mistake it for another tarantula in the same viv!
The 1st time i was shown one i really had to look a few more times just to check it wasn't another one as they shed the complete layer with hairs too! WOW!

Didn't know that. I've never seen the shed myself. I've held a tarantula before, I'm not scared of spiders in the slightest but it was a little freaky holding a massive tarantula.

lol i think i have but it could have been a dead tarantula lol

i worked in an exotic animal shop that sold reptiles and inverts etc and it was on the side after sum1 cleaned a taratula viv out lol so it was either a dead tarantula or itss shed lol

I watched my Avicularia avicularia guyana sp. moult...it was the most terrifying experience of my life as I could have sworn to God he had died!! I kept the pics of his moult too...they're amazing Have to be careful though, they dry up soo quickly and become very delicate.

Seen both our Chilean Rose and Goliath Birdeater shed, the Chilean makes a web on the floor then rolls on its back to shed, the Goliath shed and grew its missing legs back but sadly dried out and died

Think you might enjoy these pics then, the first is a 0.0.1 Pterinochilus murinus (Usumbara Red Babboon) moulting, the 2nd is a 0.1.0 Grammostola rosea RCF (Thumbnails click for enlarges view)
