Default Fire bellied toad - 13-08-2009, 07:10 PM

I recently got a fire bellied toad for my 5 year old son as he wanted his own pet cos he is not too keen on the leopard gecko..He has called it flame(obvious i know) .we think its male is there a way of sexing these as im only going off what the girl in the shop said.. I did not realise he was going to be such a great pet when i got him he jumps about alot and chases and eats his crickets, is there anything else they like to eat ?? He lives in a half water half dry land set up and is doing really well i think well he seems happy enough., any suggestions or advice about keeping him happy would be welcome xx

My fire bellied toads like crickets, hoppers and also blood worm. It is quite hard to sex them when they are solo but i find my females are alot bigger than my males. Also my males like chirping. Although you toad is fine on its own they can live with others and be fine. I have 17 all together in one exo and they are fine.
