Default Feeding problems with my leo - 14-04-2011, 04:35 PM

I've recently bought myself a leo and am having problems feeding him. I don't know his age as the bloke in the shop said he wasn't sure but he's about 7 inches long. I bought crickets for him and put 6 in with him the day I got him. 3 days later 2 of them were dead and the rest were untouched so I took them out. After reading some websites that told me to try some mealworms so I bought some and put 6 in again. After 2 days there's 4 left. So in nearly a week he's only eaten 2 mealworms. Is this normal? Any advice would be much very welcome.

Thanks for the advise mate. I've got an under tank heater with a thermostat so that seems to be keeping the temp regulated well. He's started to eat better now. How long can I keep the mealworms for? I bought a tub with about 150 in and keep them gut loaded on bug grub but just wondered if there was a time limit on keeping them?
