hey i brought a fat tailed gecko on sunday off of one of my gfs friends. came with the tank heat mat and bulb etc
she said she only feeds it 6 meal worms every 3 days but ive been reading around and sites say u should give juveniles that much a day? today i bought some small black crickets for it and coated a few in cricket dust and put them in her tank. she seems interested in them while they are moving but then as soon as they stop she turns away, is this normal?

also several sites say not to use sand because it cant be digested and can cause problems, the tank is covered with sand. ive heard calci sand is good so i was thinking about cleaning out the tank and laying down calci sand instead of real sand, worth doing or not?
