I don't think any of us are saying that keeping him on kitchen towel will actually prolong his lifespan; what we are saying is that, by removing the wood chips, you've removed a hazard that could, potentially at least, considerably shorten that lifespan.

Yea, i kind of wrote that wrong lol. Basically from what ive read across the internet the blockage takes a while to actually take affect. So if i remove the hazard now, as you said above it wont get the possibilty of suffering intestin problems later in its life.

I just want to give this Leo everything it needs for a full and healthy life, as ive been told also the lifespan of these lizards are 5-6 years... and thats generally down to not feeding properly and other factors.

i lifespan of a well looked after and cared for leo will live for 15-20 years with records of 30
