A number of posts on here have been about various escaped geckos - mostly leos I think.
Well I have an escaped annulated gecko, he's been out about 6 weeks now, I hadn't seen him for 5 weeks and wondered maybe if he'd travelled through the loft spaces in the row of houses and was holidaying in the neighbours bedroom!
Anyway, this Thursday I spotted him! He is still in my reptile room (aka the back bedroom), and obviously still flourishing on escaped crix (plenty of those too!!!). I've discovered his fave resting place is just on top of the Hovabator incubator -obviously nice and warm- and I've seen him there a few times since. Thing is....how the hell do I catch him?
He's one of the 'sticky-footed- kind of geckos and he's also extremely quick and runs as soon as I enter the room. The room is packed full of shelves with vivs and books and other odds and ends so there's no chance of emptying it out. I tried making a little "trap" out of a cricket box with a one-way swinging flap in the end, but he just avoids it.
I tried a tall lidless tank with some juicy looking crix in the bottom thinking I could maybe catch him in there one day and slam the lid on, but he just avoids that too, obviously too much free food going LOL.
I'm not too worried about him being out because he is obviously eating and surviving just fine, I'd just like him back in the viv where I know he's 100% safe that's all.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!!

(ps NO suggestions about double sided sticky tape,,,I already thought of that and decided it would do too much harm
