Default eating concerns - 08-09-2010, 08:53 PM

i've had my african fat tailed gecko for several months now but his eating habits still puzzle me.
the only thing he seems to eat are waxworms, as soon as i put some in the tank he shows an interest and will eat them quickly. i've tried both mini and regular sized mealworms but he shows no interest in them what so ever. the same can be said for crickets. i recently tried a pinky with mixed results, he showed interest in it, gave it a few licks but then left it.
does anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on??? any suggestions???

AFTs like leos can become hooked/addicted on waxxies and refuse to eat any other livefood. Providing he's a good weight and condition I'd recommend stopping waxxies altogether and trying him with locusts instead.
