Not had experience of keeping them myself, however a number of people have recommended this site: http://www.beardeddragon.org/articles/caresheet/ for care information.

They will need a 4ft+ tank eventually, so make sure you have the space

hey ive just bought a baby bearded dragon actually and i've bought a 3ft foot viv because within 18 month they go to full size so your gonna need to start off with a big viv. you also will need a hide cause bearded dragons like to hide you could use like a coconut shell or actually buy a hide from a reptile store
you can find more stuff on caresheets if you just type caresheet in google.
bearded dragons are great fun and good for just chillin out with i say escpeccially when they are babies

bearded dragons love to climb so a tank with lots of height is good if you cant get a wide tank.
They eat veg and insects but steer clear of spinach and related plants they contain a protien that binds calcium and can kill them.
You can buy pellets for beardies instead of vegtables that have everything they need veg wise but the trick is getting them to eat them. They do generally enjoy carrots lettuce and soft fruits such as peach mango and so on chopped into small chunks. Babies willl eat at a almost constant rate as they are growing and they will put on wieght and sizze very quickly.

They need UV light 5% i think general in vivs i have worked on the Bulb is as high as possible and then all around it is a climbing frame for beardies so they can climb up and pick a spot to bask.

The biggest trick to picking a beardie that will be socialble. they are more intellegent than leopard geckos and have 3 main personallitys. when you in a shop looking at them wave your hand in a circlular motion palm facing out. watch the beardies carefully some will try and wave back. They should all be interested in you though. If a beardie waves back it means he she is not threatened by you so you may approach it. If it does nothing they are indifferent. and if they bob there head up and down they feel threatened by you and will defend themselves in a number of ways.

If you can find beardies that are instantly comfortable with you then you can safely say as they get older you will be able to develop a stronger bound with them..

Hope that helps a little

I have a 2yr old beardie and she is great. Have had since she was about 8 weeks old and is amazing to watch them grow, form 7 inches to now over 19+. They do require a bit of care, but as do all herps. The above metioned site www.beardeddragon.org is the best place for correct info and friendly advice.
I would say go for the beardie if:

1, You have the space. 4ft by 2ft is minimum size for an adult

2, They can eat anywhere form 50 - 100 live crickets a day, can be a tad expensive.

3, Find out the correct setup and correct temps, have it all set up before you buy the beardie.

4, Find a decent breeder and dont buy from a petshop. You will save money and most pet shops give incorrect advice.

old 3ft viv

4ft viv
