Unhappy any help/advice? - 01-12-2011, 06:38 PM

Hello...
I brought an albino leopard gecko about 2 months ago, he's my first one i've had so I try to keep everything as it should be and perfect for him. Now, he shed his skin about 2/3 weeks ago and since then his tail has gone extremely thin and i never see him drink any water. Ive only seen him eat a few times as he doesnt tend to eat alot unless its right infront of him as he doesnt chase or attack his food. I'm really worried and dont know whats wrng with him. I power his food and he has a calcium dish thing. Is he just settling in or is he ill? Also how can i get him to become less scared of me as he flinches when i open his cage, he lets me pick him up occasionally but not always and when he does he just goes to sleep. i'd appreciate any sort of help or advice as i really am worried. Thank You. Alice + Ernie

Any reptile who's tail has become extremely thin while eating should be taken to the vet and have a fecal exam asap
