Default How active? - 11-02-2008, 12:45 PM

We have ur 2 leos, the seem ok, how active should they be at night? My other half is convinced they are a bit lethargic. They havent been having any calcium or vits, they were being fed on crickets and wax worms. Are they likely to be a bit quiet because of this?

We have also put in a wet hide as there wasnt one, they dont seem interested in it at all.

Mine stay asleep until 7/8PM when they wake up, and come begging for food.

Once fed they go back to sleep and only start becoming active around 11pm onwards. If I check them at 3/4am hey are normally wandering around.

First off I would try to get them off the wax worms they are to fatty and really have no nutrition. You really need to dust your crickets with a good vit supplement and put a small pop lid or something in the tank with calcium powder in it for them when they need some. As for the sleeping both mine are like Ned says they are ready to eat around 7 pm and then sleep till late at night before they get active. As for the wet hide geckos are different my lil Angel loves hers but my male Wally only uses his when he gets close to shedding so my advice would be to just keep it moist by misting it every couple days just don't over wet it and make sure it's at the warmer end of the tank other wise it will just be a wet place not humid. Hope this helps.
